We kicked off the new decade with crisp ideas and new competent staff. As per January Cliff will be helping us with microbiological analysis. His main focus is managing projects, validation and research Cliff holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science and is interested in microbiology, innovative laboratory techniques. He loves to do bold research that is still not answered by fellow laboratories such as testing biofilm treatment for surgical instruments. Pretty cool, right?
Opiate exemption application
In 2019 we’ve got EU-GMP certified. We are excited to announce that we are applying for an opiate exemption (opium ontheffing in Dutch) as well. If this exemption is granted, it will enable us to broaden the Sure Laboratories portfolio even more. Our application was submitted; an inspection is coming up to check whether we qualify. We’ll keep you posted!
New services coming up
Besides all the regulatory affairs, we are working on new business such as microbiological monitoring of clean rooms and production locations on site. And there is more to come: new qualification validations studies for disinfection procedures of our clients, challenge testing of products that being developed, equality testing for new raw materials, research for bio-films. We are also studying the effects of mechanical action on cleaning and disinfection of hard surfaces. Never a dull moment at Sure, that’s for sure!
Updating our business process
We look forward to install a custom-build application for sample registration and administration as part of our business process management. We’re now testing use cases. Next steps are acceptance tests and the “go-Live”. It will help us manage the sample flow and administrative process on-site. A seamless business process gives us more focus on what we love to do most: talk with clients and help them with microbiological analyses and projects.
